In his own words...

I started learning the guitar at the age of 10, when my 5th grade teacher formed a 'folk group' at school. She taught me 4 chords (C, Am, F, G7) that changed my life forever. Many times over the years that have passed, I've wished that I could thank her.

When Jr. High rolled around, I started 'rockin' with a group of my friends and soon decided to pursue a career as a musician. From the late 70's through 2004 I performed with dozens of bands as a lead singer and lead/rhythm guitarist, but 27 years of Rock and Roll had taken it's toll on me.

I left my home town of Binghamton, NY and moved to Maryland's eastern shore, where I traded my 'bad habits' for a 'real job'. 3 years of sitting behind a desk and fighting the Annapolis/Bay Ridge traffic during my 120 mile daily commute had left me unfullfilled and I yearned for the happier days and personal satisfaction that playing music professionally offered.

The day before my 50th birthday I quit my day job, I just walked out. Driving home that morning, around 9:30am I decided to become one of those Acoustic playing 'solo guys'. Since I'd barely touched an Acoustic guitar in nearly 30 years, I spent the next few months in extreme pain. I had to re-learn and adjust everything I knew about the guitar and mold it into my new Acoustic style. Well, the time, effort and pain have paid off for me, and I'm looking at my music with a new set of eyes and a brand new feel. Being a musician is once again my lifes' desire !

Come check me out sometime...

Sail in peace,
